My absolute favorite web site to visit is Potterybarn.com. I go to the site at least once a week to check out the new pictures and products. I think its beautiful and it always inspires me. The site is very elegant and classy with its gray text against the white background. The pictures are the focus of this web site. I like that Potterybarn.com always feels current and one can really feel the seasonal tone here, thanks to the pictures. An example of a really bad web site is scrapbookingheavenstore.com. It is not near as bad as the examples that we have seen in class, but it is still ugly. There is no color scheme on this web site- all colors are being used. The photos of the store are of bad quality and on the picture of the store owners one of the two actually has her eyes shut. Further, different fonts are being used but the one font that is used the most, is comic sans. It makes the page look cheap and unproffessional. Plus, the web site has no focal point at all; it is just cluttery.
